Tour Plan

1 Climbing Big Adam's Peak.

The main question is: is it worth it?

Answer: There are no disappointed people. There are those who did not make it, gave up, turned around, felt sorry for themselves, or were simply dragged, persuaded and not allowed to decide for themselves. Therefore, if you are thinking, then just prepare yourself mentally for the fact that you will have to overcome 5200 steps and climb 1 km. This will take you on average 3-4 hours.

What's on top

At the top there is a fenced granite platform and a Temple. The whole area is 21 by 10 meters, not so much.

Adam's Peak is famous for the left footprint found here. Buddhists believe that this is the footprint of Buddha , and Muslims believe that this is where Adam stepped after being expelled from paradise.

To see the sacred footprint, you need to take off your shoes and go into the temple.

The edges of the print are trimmed with a gold frame and decorated with precious stones.

It's very cold here in the morning. But the views are incredibly beautiful.

Rise

Steps of different heights (lower and longer, knee-high at the top) lead upwards. There are handrails and lighting for convenience.

From time to time you will come across small cafes on the way, which can hardly be called cafes - plywood houses with Coca-Cola and chips (it is difficult to deliver much food here) or just benches for the rest. Dress warmly, the nights here are cold.

If we set off at 1-2 am, we will be in time for the beautiful sunrise, at about 6 am. The first half hour we pass through green tea plantations.

You need to get past the Peace Pagoda before 6-6:30 in the morning. You will see a unique phenomenon. The shadow of the mountain in the clouds, and above the Temple with the divine trace, an inexplicable shimmer. It is very beautiful here. Many even forget to take pictures.

Take backpacks, a sweater, socks, water, and a light raincoat with you.

We advise you to dress warmly (sweaters) and take raincoats. It will be hot to walk. But at the top you will feel more or less warm.

You'll really freeze in a T-shirt and shorts!

Is it difficult to climb?

It all depends on your physical fitness. On the road, athletic guys usually rush past like horses. They can climb the mountain in 2 hours.

Many dropped out of the race.

You can go up there to perform a feat, to forgive sins, to raise your ego in the end (why not?). But in the end, this awaits you anyway:
